http://www.rottenneighbor.com/

August 23, 2007: A break from the rough news in the market. Here's a question for you: how can you find out about a neighborhood you're thinking about moving into? Usually you have to just go and sit there and observe. Some people may find this difficult or just odd; but first-hand observational research is actually a valid way to learn about the nature of a neighborhood. Mindy and I have done it ourselves. Just last night I came across the site, http://www.rottenneighbor.com/ and I woke my wife up as I laughed at the content (I particularly enjoyed the photo of creative "tree pruning".)

It's not a huge idea and I don't believe them when they say they only making money from advertising. But it's still an interesting idea. The site is just getting off the ground and seems to be a East Coast/West Coast deal so far. A quick search of North Shore zip codes indicated that our area isn't well developed ... yet.

Any way, visit the site and, if the spirit moves you, contribute. Or, just peruse the content and enjoy some of the contents.

And, please, don't forget to visit our website - www.mindyshea.com. This real estate market is particularly tough. See how we're helping our clients get through it.

Have a great day.
